Any opinions, pro or con on the .44 special for white tail deer hunting?

There are others with much more experience than I have but here is what I can say. I have killed 5 whitetail deer with 44 special and 4 with 44 magnum as well as a couple with 41 magnum. I shoot a cast semi wad cutter in the special because it is my all time woods Cary gun and we have pigs. And I have used it on 4 pigs. I have no issues with the round for hunting and will continue to this year. It is my favorite cartridge. I will hunt with a new 44 special and try some hollow point cast bullets this year.
I'll probably use

a 240 gr. hard cast from Double Tap since I already have a box. Shooting a 4 5/8" SBH.
