cons of different models? It would probably see limited use, if that matters. Thanks!

No on hand experience, but if I do pull the trigger on one,

I'm thinking of the Labradar, have heard that it is as accurate as a standard chrono. It sets up beside you versus shooting through it. The range I attend (as I don't have my own currently, is almost impossible to set up a traditional style. Like I said no experience but have heard can be used indoors as well. Tracks velocity in intervals as far as it can read it, can set up multiple ones and track velocity the length of bullet path.

I'VE BEEN USING THE LABRADAR

over some 20+ years. The folks at ProChrono don't ask, they just fix them. Max cost for shooting one is 50% of retail value, but usually less. The case is cheap and usually one sensor screen etc.

I have bullseye'd them with .308, 10mm, a potato, and several exotic GNR rounds. Last was a .255 Banshee, only cost $35 to fix. Postage is the most painful part.

The "set downrange and shoot over" types WILL one day be shot. FWIW. That's only one point of what is interesting about that radar type unit. Plus it does so much more. If it only cost a bit less.

475 LB did mine in

It was glorious, the round did some damage, but the device flew about 40 yards into some big rocks. I just laughed and ordered another. I had the pieces for a while in the garage but they got thrown away at some point.

Thanks for the input!
