to my surprise! Both gave consistent ignition but White Rain has less residue. We got just under 200 fps for a chunk 1.5" diameter and however thick the particular potato was. We did build some 1.25" but did not chrono those that I remember. One trick was to stuff a shot rag down the bore and drop in a 31" Easton 2117 with 115 gr. field tip. Those ran 220 fps! Plus you could fit 4-5 if you wanted a salvo round and it made no difference in velocity!
In a test we charged one blocked with a shot rag and let it set for a week, it fired instantly when checked! With a 12" long 3" chamber and reduction to 1.25-1.5" and 36"+ tube they were a viable device. I gave some for Christmas presents once at a family gathering. The 1.25" models. It was all fun until some wise elbow found a golf ball would stop at the chamber interface and launched it straight up. The "hang-time" was agonizingly long but no automobiles or idiots were injured.
I have peculiar and dangerous knowledge. lol
