bankruptcy doesn't mean they are gone. They can do

a couple of things (if I have my facts right). They can dump most of their non-profitable lines, or sell them off to come up with some ready cash. They could sell marlin (if that sale is clear of any strings), or just dump the line totally, which i hope they don't do. The Marlin lever guns we have been getting are decent guns, no obvious faults of defects. I can't say that about Remington's guns. First their 710 model, total junk and dropped immediately. Then the model 770, about as bad and dumped too. Then the 783. Some good, some not. If they would just get their heads out of their asses and put out the model 700 ADL and BDL as they did for years and forget all those gimmick guns, they could probably get their heads above water. But they need to dump all their "extra" lines, like the horrible handguns. They bought out Para a while back, a company that was making some fine pistols. They then tried to "make it better" and screwed the pooch. So now it is as bad as the original R1 1911, really bad. It is so crazy, there is no telling which way it will turn out. Either way it's a damn shame.
