I watched a biography of Charlie Daniels years ago, one that included a lot of footage of interviews with him. What an awesome, humble man who was forthright about his failures, flaws, and successes. He loved the Lord, loved his country, and loved people. Men the likes of him are getting fewer and farther between, especially in entertainment.

Godspeed, Charlie. We look forward to seeing you on the other side when we are called.

Had 2nd row seats for a show he did at Nashville North

He was a great entertainer, got to see him 4 or 5 times and he gave it all he had at every show. He was a great session musician before he started the CDB and a lot of people didn't know that he played on one of Bob Dylan's albums. I always thought he was a better guitar player than a fiddle player but the rock n roll fiddle style made him famous nobody ever sawed one harder! He would burn the bows up. He'll always be the grand daddy of southern rock.
