This one my wife got a picture of and called me. She was shaken but I got her to get her Savage 99 out and shoot him away. LOL I said shoot him away because she was shaking so bad she couldn't hit it. She was mad about it being in her chicken coop. That picture is from our covered porch only 40 yards away.

I have one around that is twice that size.

Looks like he could use a chicken dinner!

Could be another one. I wasn't there. My wife was a little excited to say the least. I don't think she knew all that was happening.

SURE LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER ONE

Much larger bear. Wife saw it first. Grabbed the ole 870 supermag. Cramming three standard 2 3/4” 6 shot in the mag. Went out on the porch and seen it go behind the chicken coop on the right. I waited a couple minutes and he popped up 15 yards behind and to the left of the coop. He stood up on his hind legs. He looked to be taller than me and I’m 6’. The shot gun had a super tight turkey choke in it. I took aim on his nose and reeled around and disappeared. With my 41 GNR on my hip and shot gun in hand I slipped around the backside of the chicken coop. He took off to my left down hill to cross the drive way. Bam! Put one on his backside at about 60 yards. Talk about running fast.

The first shot I know stung him a bit. I believe from the water spray off him and the foliage around him it hit him mostly in the neck and chest. We just had a rain shower. Hope I don’t see him again unless it’s hunting season.
