Hear they are a bear to take apart and reassemble; truth? What kind of bore diameter might be expected from one made 1910 to 1915, or is there just too much variation? Front sight blades relatively easy to replace if needed? Seems there's a few that look like they're missing.

1ST QUESTION-DEFINITELY; WHAT

BORE DIAMETER ARE YOU ASKING ABOUT? THEY CAME IN MAINLY .32 WCF; .38 WCF, AND .44 WCF. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY REGULAR LOADS. SPENT YESTERDAY MORNING SHOOTING A .38 SADDLE RING CARBINE.THIS ONE HAS A FRONT SIGHT IN A DOVETAIL MATCHED UP WITH A REAR TANG SIGHT. FOR SOME REASON PICTURES OF THIS ONE WON'T UPLOAD.

showing how to field-strip a Rossi Model 92. The biggest difference .. I THINK .. is that the Rossi has a coil spring for the hammer while the old Winchester will have a flat spring.

You can access it here - http://leverguns.com/articles/taylor/field_strip.htm

thanks Jim
