A few posts down you mentioned that. I'd like to look into that. Thanks.

I bought 4 of them as Radio Shack was going out of

business. I have one in the bronco (forgive the dog hair and dust) I haven't driven the Bronco in a couple of months. On the box they were listed as "waterproof". At the time I had a CJ-7 Jeep with no top so I was thinking about putting one of them in it. I sold the Jeep so i put one of them in the Bronco and one in our Z71 truck. I bought one of the power boosters for them again as a "just in case".

Here is the unit I put in the truck..and again forgive the dust and stuff. We drive the truck maybe 4 times a year to haul hay or firewood..

I bought 4 of the long "bird raper" antennas. Haven't installed them yet.

I have to have someone that is an "expert" on CB units to check these out and also to install the second 2 units in whatever vehicle we decide on along with the wiring for the antennas.

Colleen also bought this little flashlight

She also bought one of the wind up radios. She keeps around for when she is doing yard work. On a wind up it runs for around 20 minutes.
We can always find little gimmicks to waste our money on.

My wife bought me and the kids wind up flashlights a few years ago for Christmas. Ugly things from Ikea. I thought there were junk, but years later and they just keep working. I keep mine in the truck just in case my regular flashlight goes dead or gets trashed. Saved my ass a few times.

Nice amp
