an Enhanced AR CCW license class this weekend. It involves a prescribed State Police course of timed fire and passing score. It's actually pretty easy and I shot a perfect score, minus one point for shooting after a buzzer. He didn't explain himself very well. Anyway it's pretty easy. But in front of a bunch of people you want to do well.
She is a bit anxious as it must be completed with a semi-auto, and she's a strict wheelgun girl. She wants to use her S&W .41 Mag 657. It allows some other carry options exclusive and has good interaction with other states CCW programs too.
Like many women hand strength is a factor. She can shoot about anything but slide manipulation is difficult and uncomfortable. The 1911 is not really good, and she literally hates the shooting character of Glocks. What can I say, she is her own person. I have narrowed the rigs for her some to the Beretta M92A1 and of all things a HK USP Tactical .45. Both afford soft shooting and easier than others slide manipulation. Both are superbly accurate too. Roman has some exotic 9mm to use that, I forget the name, which no one outside the Russian Spetsnaz knows about.
D. at 15 shooting my old series 70 .45, circa 1980! Some 40 yrs. ago, a real blessing. Doug and I were good friends even back then too. We all went to school together.

We have a little timed practice drills to go through until then and we'll see what she finds the most confidence inspiring. I forgot about the FNHP, we might throw that in the game too. That's what I used for the course. One fellow shooter mistook it for a 1911 and said it was cool for me to use such an old boat anchor. LOL
