limp wristed snowflakes will love that one to go along with their Prius.
That's what turned me off the new Ranger

I hate turbo anything. I know they run like the devil but hot gases and bearings don't last 250k. A normally aspirated or even a belt driven blower will. That little Focus with the turbo four is a bad ass little pseudo rally car. I think Blake had one.
Pardon my harsh language, not supposed to hate anything

Except sin. I do not find the idea of gas driven turbocharging comforting to me. The electric technology versions sound interesting. Several turbo automobiles are out there waiting for unsuspecting buyers with worn bearings and subdued performance. Taking it to a dealer would run upward a $3000-4000 replacement bill. If you are able you can rebuild it for a fraction of that, but most folks can’t.
it is simple. Your current car/truck will probably

do 120 mph. But if you do that all day, something in there will die (besides your silly ass for driving that fast all day). Stress something too far and you have problems. The same can go for a turbo on a small engine. Get it too hot and a mega repair bill. By the way, I am not a mechanic, have trouble even spelling it. But I have had guys working for me that were mechanics and i have heard some horror stories. So take my comment as coming from someone dumber than a road lizard about vehicles.
WB, it is just a word. Jesus said he will

not hold it against you. A couple of my very close friends are what I would call the "perfect" Christians, very Godly men. But their language is worse than mine. It used to really bother me as working with a group of men all day there are a lot of bad words uttered, most by me. Jim Taylor told me several times (he figured one time wouldn't sink into my thick head) that Jesus doesn't hold my idiotic actions and words against me. And I have to believe that.
great retro look good power plants

Very powerful and great gas mileage. My current truck is a 2014 F150 with the 5.0 V8.
Acceleration just about as good on the little 2.3L.
I agree, will be a great seller for all but the uneducated.
like I said above, it will appeal to the man-bun

crowd and should sell well but I wouldn't own one. It wouldn't be so bad if they gave it another name but that little vehicle ain't a Bronco. I gave up on Jeep a few years ago, now I add the new Bronco to that list.
the vehicle (can't call it a truck anymore) will

appeal to those that that like the little square yuppie vehicles and will never get the car dirty much less go rock climbing or real off roading. Like the pics showed they can get their bikes in there, which will make them happy.
Those that had or know about the Bronco that was out up until the mid 90s will be disappointed in what Ford has come out with. It was bad enough when Jeep pussied out the Renegade, now Ford is aiming at that same crowd with their pussified Bronco. Nuff said.
Very retro and reminds me of the old Internal Scout.

I'm betting they are popular. I've always been a Ford V8 fan. Started driving F150s in 1985. Truck had a 302 V8. The one I drive now has the same V8 engine with 2x the HP.
I've been looking at trucks, Ford only. Drove the Ranger with the 2.3L and an F150 with the 2.7L. Amazing what power they get out of these engines.
I've always been a Ford person. Got much more so after GM and Chrysler got in bed with Obama.
The old Scout was the 1st that came to mind when I saw it.

Why can't they just put a nice straight six with an optional super charger. It would last longer and be more UTILITARIAN. With a 7 speed and crawler gear would be more up my alley.
Reminds me more of a scout. I had one with a small 266 ci V-8. Loved that thing better than the 72 Bronco. But once I got my first Jimmy it was over. I had a Few of them. My 77 K15 was bad to the bone. Modified the heck out of it. Dana 44 front with lockers then a Corp 14 bolt rear, .456 gears with 38" narrow buck shots big lift. 400 small block and turbo 400 trans. Super up. Running a lot of muddy places in Louisiana.
I like the looks but after hearing the details

I think I am better off taking my 2000 Jeep Cherokee with the straight six 4 liter and putting in some upgrades.
