I’m enjoying smaller, handier, carry options.

If I feel vulnerable, not too often, I carry a .45 or 9mm with 2-3 (10-17 shot) mags. But on more casual days or walking around something lighter than 2 lbs. is nice. My 1 lb. Moonie shooter 7-shot .40 S&W and the 1.7 lb. SP101 .357 I’ve always wanted.

This is an interesting perspective for two I enjoy carrying in Gary’s finely made belt slide holster. It’s great.

HOW MANY FEEL VULNERABLE BEFORE THEY ARE?

couple of areas i feel very vulnerable. Also on our long drive to the HHC. That same feeling when I am driving thru Memphis around 2 AM. I always make sure that 45 is close at hand when I get that feeling.

THE FEELING SHOULD BE PERPETUAL

I carry my little Budischowski. It is only a 25 ACP but is double action, small enough to fit in Ocasio Cortez's mouth and is stainless steel.

Another one I used to carry in a cowboy boot is the little Hi Standard 22 Magnum derringer. Double action and 2 shot plus flat as a pancake.

A little easy to shoot (another 25 auto) is the Colt 25 Auto. Mine are both nickel (somewhere there are 2 pimps still trying to find their Colt 25s). They are good guns although a bit heavy, but good in a cowboy boot.

I also keep a few P.O.S. semi autos stashed around the house. Ugly, cheap and no longer made but amazingly they work every time.

In my office I have a wall full of little guns that were ideal carry guns in their day but probably not today. Some there isn't even any ammo for. Some don't even have the caliber marked on it. You were just supposed to know. And I think they need a good dusting. Maybe next week.
