The steelhead ammo is the oddest brass I’ve ever seen. The steel base screws into the brass case. Has anybody seen this before?

no caliber stamp on the steel base.
They can be loaded very very hot.

handle the extra stress and pressure but will the gun? That is a bad point to stress when looking for buyers of the ammo.

I had forogotten about that.. had some of those in the 1980s, used them for hyper 308 loads for a light weight rifle.
sold them to a friend before long... not sure why !

friendly primers" turned me off. Like those small Federal and CCI primers in 45 ACP that are for the lead free ammo. Just more ways to make us support the lead free ammo. I'll pass.
