I can;t remember now but both are close enough. I trimmed to cylinder length then fire-formed them making a blank. Then I charged, added a 1/2" tuft of 1/4" dacron, shot atop that, and topped with a gas check or card. Wax on top of the card will hold it in place under the light recoil.

They work great. I used some smaller cal. gas checks and other dies to "crimp" a gas check in place. But you can just make over shot card and wax will hold them in place, or you can glue them.
