As a person with asthma I found some tricks

to breathing. I seem to get pneumonia pretty easily if I let my immune system get down. This can be work stress or poor eating habits, even insufficient sleep. There are bacterial and viral strains of pneumonia but either way it can croak you if you let it get too far ahead of you. Don't be a dead tough guy.

Reading numerous accredited research articles I found several references to very successful treatment of Covid, many more in other nations, using common pneumonia type remedies, with some variations. Namely the type steroids administered and the use of zinc. Also the nubulizer seems to be key to administering the medication and soothing lug tissue inflammation complication.

Back in Feb. of 2020 I was about as sick as I've ever been with unidentified viral pneumonia. Prednisone, Albuterol via nebulizer, and some strong oral antibiotics. Three days and I felt a lot better. A rescue inhaler does not get it, does not penetrate into the lungs deep enough. Still knocked down and felt draggy for several weeks but I was at work and moving. My urologist dismissed checking me for covid antibodies along with my PSA but seemed to feel strongly that I had the virus. He was reviewing my MD's findings, x-ray results, and the treatment. I'm sensing he's not big on the antibody testing credibility to begin with.

Long story short, especially if you are of advanced age, you might ask your physician if a nebulizer could help you and any breathing issues you might have. It literally has saved my life, and countless trips to the ER. Before my nebulizer that was my only option for survival. You can by them on amazon but the medication is by prescription only. That's where your physician comes in. It's worth asking about.

While hunting I still carry a rescue inhaler with albuterol, if any Misfit ever needs a hit at HHC sometime. In an emergency, while in the woods with no medication, Hall's cough drops or simple peppermints have helped me breathe and get back. Back at camp hot tea or strong coffee really help too.

That is good information right there friend!

I too suffer from asthma and it can be a scary disease. I have and do use each treatment you list. I always have a rescue inhaler in my pocket. Also one in each vehicle and one in my work locker.

A guy where I work was having a hard time and some one new I kept them. I readily have him the one I had on me and he was happy to get it! Later I was asked would you really use someone else’s inhaler? That person had obviously never been very long without air. My response was. “If I need it, you can take it from a dead hobo’s ass and I will use it!”

LOL! Yep like SCUBA diving, you only need that next breath.

of the lung crap my entire life, and have done all of the above too, my down to EARTH smart daughter kept insisting I try Elderberry Syrup, Bah.... until I caved and did someofgun kid it works! I let her think she knows more than I do, When I feel the crud coming on 2 table spoons twice a day and some zinc lozenges for a few days, I don't know why I don't care how but it does work for me, something about raising the alkaline in the blood. The caffeine and warmth from coffee is a good dilator for a quick fix

I also take elderberry! But zinc makes me throw up!

Every time I take zinc I puke in less than 5 minutes after I take it. So I don’t take it anymore!

Supposed to help Gout too. Zinc on the skin

Really helps itching, which I can’t stand to itch. Head & Shoulders, that’s why it’s blue, the zinc. Several skin products contain soothing zinc. If it made me throw up from the inside, I’d not smear it on my outside either!

while I can't comment on elderberry for breathing
