Of course handguns in general. This is a new twist I have not seen before on a "scare" run. I may need to parlay a couple into nice wheelguns.

I bought my Taurus G2S for $195 free shipping in May. They start at $300 now.
Not at honest shops. We just bought a couple..

The 9mm was $203 including tax and the 40 S&W was $229.
But, no doubt many are gouging for what they can get.
all shops will eventually raise prices, without gouging.

When I first started promoting the Taurus G2C they were well under $250. Now they are barely under $300 and we have not raised our percentage. They have gone up from the distributor and actually that just makes sense. The companies like Taurus bring out a new gun and price it at giveaway prices for the first 3 months, and during this 3 months they don't make diddly on them. Then the prices have to start going up. The new Taurus' are being made in their new Bainbridge Georgia plant and they are doing a helluva job but simple economics have to come into play. When we were selling them for under $250 people were coming up from Phoenix to buy them as they were almost $500 down there. A fellow bought 4 of them and was quoted $2200 in Phoenix. He ended up paying less than $1000 with us. These days my guess would be they are going for well over $600. Even at $300 you are still getting a helluva great little pistol. So it isn't gouging, it is economics.
Not sure what's up with Walther P99's but

I'm fixin' to sell the crap out of mine! It's crazy. Up for the highest bidder, if someone wants it for a high price it's on their head. I liked it, a bit overly exotic, but not to pass at a favorable profit. It's basically a "German Glock 19". I have plenty others.
Going back to my G30s .45.
it isn't just the model 99s.. There is an extreme

shortage of handguns. One of our distributors told me 3 of the main handgun makers had one assembly line working and were putting out one tenth of the guns they normally do. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but either way we can't order anything or very few things. The distributors call every morning and tell us what they got in overnight and tell us what they can offer us. It is a pain but that is how things are these days. We have been in business for over 40 years so we have kissed enough butt that we are fine with ammo, 9mm, 223, 40 and 45 and have 15 or 20 handguns in the showcases so we aren't hurting really bad so far. We have maybe half of what guns we normally have but at least the cupboard isn't bare.
We still aren't getting any estate sales. People are either hanging on to their guns or even worse yet are selling them to any yoyo that has the money and that is just asking for trouble. But like I said below the prices aren't gouging by the gun shops, the prices are higher from the manufacturers. Some shops that were able to stock up on guns at lower prices before all this crap happened aren't affected by all this as they have guns they paid less for and can price them less than their competitor. That is the way things are but it makes the rest of us look like we are gouging when we have the same percentage we always have. I wish the regulars on here would quit posting the prices they pay for their guns as it just makes the rest of us look like we are raping the public.
I got mine for about the same-- so far only auto I realylike
