I agree also. We have had problems with the Kimber

in fact we don't even take them in on trade right now. Go with the Ruger.

I've fought Kimbers that wouldn't feed my last...

I love a good, well fit gun. But, not to the point ammo won't feed.

I like my 1911 to rattle and clank a bit.

It'll work in dusty, sandy conditions or with parts of fingers and blood in it.

My early Kimbers worked great. Later, they had issues..

Glad for those who like them, but it's just not for me.

Now, the Iver Johnson 6" 1911 in 10mm is sure looking great.

RUGER GREAT GUN FOR THE PRICE.

Mostly because I have one of those and no Kimber.... i doubt it matters, buy the one you like

I have the two tone Commander and i like that look. The Ruger Alloy frame is durable and they should consider that process for the Single Actions currently that chip all the time...

Ot certainly wears grest on the SR1911

RUGER!

I have bought 3 Kimbers used from Gary in the past, one was great while the other two were mediocre at best. I would never spend the money on a new Kimber. Ever Ruger 1911 I have bought was great right out of the box.

For everyday carry, the Ruger

I have an original Kimber TLE that shoots phenomenal. But I too have heard hit and miss on some of the newer ones. I also have the full steel Ruger Cmmdr and it functions flawless. Accuracy is good not great, BUT it shoots everything! Which for a carry gun is #1 for me. Only thing I have done to it is change the grips.
