Everyone has praised the Taurus TX-22 so much, it was time to try one. Not saying it would be and ideal defense gun, but 16 rounds of CCI Velocitors would truly ruin a perp's day.

Picked mine up this morning. O.D.Green makes it a little unique in my battery.

Opening the box is always fun...

Love the fact these guns come with easily adjustable sights...

I like that color combo!

Just popped off a few rounds to test function. Worked perfectly as expected.

All in all a tight fitted, well finished, affordable little trail companion.

Looks like a great gun to start wife or kid off with, even

has a rail. Howard

We have to watch him close. I also figure this will be great for him in the future.

This gun is extremely light weight, and the slide is low

effort to cycle for those with weaker hands. A great gun for a lady who does not like the blast or recoil of bigger arms. It comes with two mags, loader, and a threaded muzzle adapter. It's quite the deal.

I have read some fluff about some reports of the rifling loading up with lead but too many variables there with questionable ammo. Might be something to keep an eye on. I have wanted to test Jim Taylor's idea of putting liquid alox on cheap ammo to improve performance. It stands to reason that you could really help matters. It is an archaic heel bullet with external lubrication. Heat and handling are sure to compromise lubrication. Plus on the cheap stuff, you know they are cutting as many corners as practical.

I clean my guns on a regular basis. Have since my first one.

This gun easy to clean anyways. It'll probably only see a couple types of ammo.

why would you do that?

I don't believe any one way is right for everyone. I clean my guns on a regular basis. If anyone picks another option, I'm perfectly fine with that. But, mine get cleaned.

we get guns in every week that the owners felt that way and

took them apart on a regular basis. The parts were gouged and small parts bent from prying them to get them out of the gun and back in again.I try to tell them there is no valid reason to take them totally apart down to the smallest springs and pins but they say the same thing you just did. I quit trying to point them in the right direction or help them out. On the 3rd or 4th time they bring the same gun in in a paper bag they just get charged an extra idiot fee. On the Ruger MK 1, MK 2 or MK 3 pistols I gave up on them on these. I just tell them to send them back to Ruger. I don't have the time nor temperament to deal with people that won't listen and people that think they are smarter than the folks that built the gun.

Yeah, I don't take them into small parts...

There's plenty of spray cleaners for slides, actions, etc.

But, general cleaning, including barrels is a regular thing on my guns.

My trigger has some side to side play but

other than the minor whine it is a REALLY good trigger. I wish they made a bigger caliber version of that very same gun, using that same trigger system.

I'm impressed so far. Upgrades will be limited to...

A stainless Spring Assembly and extra mags.

Wanting a Taurus TH40, but none on Earth. Maybe one day...
