Gary, it’s an 1894 take down model. There is a slight crack in the forearm that been fixed. shows normal wear. Pete![[image]](images/uploaded/202007301757355f230a0f55e31.jpg)

Pete, that's a 32-40, not 38-40...

built a custom 32-40 for a fellow a while back and took forever to find any ammo for it for test firing purposes.
Yeah they did a run of John Wayne commemoratives

That were .32-40 neat little carbines, ammo to go with them. Easiest thing is to shoot cheap .30-30 out of them forming brass. Then load it with the 170 gr. 0.321” .32 Special bullets.
To find a box of ammo outside the specialty loaders might be a problem. I have a set of dies I think. The John Wayne Winchester ammo is very high and collectible.
So it’s a 94!
Thanks for correcting me Huey!

Sometimes I just type to fast and should Proof read it before I send it. Pete
I remember Gary selling 2 TCR Barrels in 32-40...

Think Dean grabbed one. Fun cartridge to play with. But, like Gary said, you'll work to find components.
