One of my 350 lb test shelves collapsed yesterday anf a 50 cal ammo box full of 22lr landed square on my left little toe. First time I've been hurt by ammo in 20 years.
I have been hurt by ammo more than a few times

When I was 8 my Dad was shooting an old 32 H&R in the basement. One shot hit the 4x4 post and bounced back and hit me in the leg. Barely bruised it but sure scared me. Been afraid of 32's ever since!
Back in the 1980's I loaded some 45 Colt's with a Lyman 310 Tool. They were light loads and I wanted to test 'em so I stuck one in the gun, stepped out on the porch in my bare feet and fired a shot into my firewood stacked on the porch. I shot into the end grain and the 255 gr. round nose turned in the grain and came back and whacked me on the end of the big toe! Raised a blood blister.
Ammo can get ya!
I hope your toe recovers.
I had a friend shot an old stove with a 1911...

Using 230 Hardball. It bounced back and hit me in the leg. Left a terrible bruise, but didn't break the skin.
I called him ever name I had ever learned in the oilfield.
Hey Huey! Didnt know you were in the "patch"? Still in?

unclear with the industry. Some days I feel that I need to start sewing together a parachute.
May have learned early

not to shoot at trees 22lr at 20' Manzanita trunk, top of the left check bone, all I could think of at the time was what a great lamp the lady's leg made.
