Not sure I'd use these loads in my Auto pistols. But, they sure look good for my Reeder 40 S&W Trail Gun. This puts the little "40" right square in 357 Magnum territory.

Notice they used Magnum Primers, but that's no big deal. Did an info search and seems many verify velocity as accurate.

Data didn't load, try again....

At normal pressures 180-200 gr. run 1000-1100 fps

from a 4.5" barrel semi-auto. That is a slick cast bullet. They usually run about 100 fps faster than a jacketed bullet at the same pressures. Factory loads are 900-1000 fps for the same jacketed ammo.

I think the old Cowboy .38-40 load was a classic 180 gr. FN at 1000 fps from a Colt SAA or New Service? My rifles ran about 1200 or so with the same spec. loads.
