But, I need to get back to this barrel. Was testing Longshot Powder at my last outing with the gun.

There is a particular GT HP Cast Bullet that I thought would be great in this gun. Notice how this bullet doesn't seat deep and reduce powder capacity like some designs.

I'm not recommending my load data for anyone else.

I researched 45 Super and 460 Rowland Data before starting. Long story abbreviated, I ended up pushing a 250 grn Cast HP at 1300+ fps. The data I used produced 28k in the published data.

That bullet has no bore riding ojive up to the

front driving band. How is the throating on that barrel? Interesting! I have a .327 Federal barrel for an Encore of all things. I shot some .32 ACP out of it, it did surprisingly well. But obviously I can do wild things with that chamber and throat, .30-06 rifle bullets and such.

The throat is very long. Makes loading easy...

For experimenting. I've shot some 230s at 1400 fps.

Thing about the huge expansion area is some of the new hot shot powders do it with 10.0 grn loads.

Even while getting 700 loads per pound, this little gem can cover about any hunting a 44 Magnum revolver can.
