LGS had a box of 500 of these for $25 so I picked them up since they had no other bullets for 38 or 357. Box states Brinell hardness of 14. Just wondering how fast I might be able to push these before I have to worry about leading.

Too many factors to predict that Grover...

I'd certainly say not heavy magnum loads. But, only way to find out is trial and error.

pick a load around 900 fps and you should be ok.

I too bought some cowboy bullets for .45 Colt. Cast Performance 250 gr RNFP. I tried several powders and velocities under 900 fps. Everything leaded horribly. Finally tried Trail Boss @650 fps and they shoot fine.
Another thing I wonder about is the clear lube that the bullets were coated in. Very thin and clean but I really wonder if it’s enough to do anything.
You may find something different.
