IMR 4166
Any one have experience with this powder (IMR 4166). Was thinking about developing 7-30 Waters load or 7mm-08 loads with it ? I have a pound unopened and have no idea why I bought it.
4166 was developed for the 223, 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor. It
was designed to be less temperature sensitive than most other powder. That is all I remember reading in the little IMR handout powder manual from a year or so ago. I don't actually have any data but you should be able to find it on the internet.
in the 7-08 with a 120 grain bullet the 43 grain load will g
give you slightly over 3000 fps. data can be found in the little free mini manual.
