Weather is nice .. amazing change from the 100's we have had at home.

Put a few hundred rounds through the .22 rimfire. It's nice to be able to walk out the front door, go maybe 50 yards or so and shoot. I grew up being able to do that .... lived for years with a range on my own property .. and really miss it. It's especially nice when working up handloads.

I am gonna be here in Oklahoma for awhile, so I am taking advantage of nice weather and having a range on the property.

Found a cartridge laying on the shooting range that I thought was a .308.

It appears folks been shooting here long before I arrived.

Turned out to be a Norma 7.7 Jap.

must be from when the Japs invaded Oklahoma

shoot whenever and wherever. One neat thing is that there were several military ranges years ago. One was just north of Norman and the other was outside Lexington. Both were long gone by the time I was born, but when hunting Lexington as a kid, I would find .50 cal tracer bullets as we were walking down the roads of the wildlife area. I-35 went through the backstop of the one North of Norman, not sure how tall it was but seemed like a mountain when I was young, they finally dozed it level about a decade ago.
