Helping a friend buy a gun.

I have a good friend that is like a brother to me. However he is not a shooter or hunter. Years ago he wanted a gun for protection. He came over and shot with us and liked the 38 revolver so he left with it. I told him he should invest in a shotgun and helped him find a nice used mod 870 and a bunch of buckshot. He practiced learning to shoot and operate it and he feels better prepared for the boogeymen. And there he was fixed for years, until last week.

He called me up and had decided he needed a rifle and a 9mm. Scary news of riots and such had him thinking. He wanted me to go to the gun shop with him to see the rifle. He had told them of his concerns and They told him that they had just what he needed. I was expecting to see a tricked out AR or AK but was shocked when they handed him a Remington 700 7mm magnum!

Again we go back to my place and I let him shoot a 7 mag. He was no longer very excited about the gun the shop offered him. I let him shoot a marlin 30-30. He liked that one much better! He went home with it as a gift. As well as a ruger 10-22 and a brick of ammo. He is ready for the zombies to invade!

Sounds good Brant. I gotta drive north or you south..

I don’t know why they would need to take advantage of a novice!

To unload stuff that's not selling...

Some folks just don't have limits.

I will say with a good 7mm Mag you command a sizeable

radius of influence! LOL Plus you can find ammo, and the gun will always be worth a good price. Not a good choice for that particular man but to run what you brung, it would make a mark. lol

yeah but if you have about a dozen BLM noogies

kicking in your front door that bolt action 7mm Mag is as useful as the proverbial tits on a chicken.

Agreed...

I`am not getting any younger so I`am giving good friend who is a dedicated handgun hunter my early blue Redhawk.. Its better knowing that someone will use my guns rather then having my family sell them for nothing.... That leaves me with four or five 44`s....

Just line about 3 up at a time, one shot like Sean!

I’m told how stupid I was for giving it to him for a few $’s more than I paid for it several years ago. Had a bunch of mags for it so was a little bit above what I paid! Been told I could have got 3 times or more than what I paid! Went to a good guy and was happy to let him have it!
However, everyone does need a good 700 7mmRemMag! Zombies at long range!

yeah but remember that down the road, years

from now every time that fellow handles that gun he will think about you and the great deal you made him. And one day when he just happens upon you poaching a deer, rather than dragging you into court, he will remember your kind actions, and shoot you.

Maybe......
