I bought 2000 large rifle primers today at a local gunstore/pawnshop. Pretty good price for the times at $27 a thousand. I had some but I have been going through a lot of them with Marlins .35 and .375 that I am messing with. Very low on guns in general and auto pistols in particular. Some nice old Colt and S&W revolvers in the display case. I guess .38 Specials aren't strong enough to kill people now days.

My LGS has lots of 9mm pistols, ammo not so much...

40s and 10mm are non-existent. Only a couple 45s either.

Good price on the primers too...

If you can only have two types

I figure small pistol and large pistol. In a pinch you CAN use them in normal rifle loads. My FFL's have limited primers and most seem to be about 1/3 higher than normal. But who is bitching?!

Have you bought any .50 BMG primers lately? Egads!

Everyone wants a semi-auto CCW these days. Revolvers are the most overlooked value. As I said buy one in a screwy caliber like .327 and your chances of finding ammo are great, ditto the .357.

no .9, .38, .357 to be found as far as I know here

Lynn is right. We haven't had any revolvers under 44 caliber

in weeks and chances are slim of getting any. All we are getting in are back orders. The distributors are getting a few guns in (very few) and they look at the back order lists and send what guns they can that are on the back order lists. We had a fellow that used to be a dealer come in Saturday and Colleen bought 5 Glocks from him, 2 m-42s, 2 M-43s and a M-19. One Glock 43 is left at closing time today.

There are very few small caliber guns left. Guys that wanted to buy a gun for their wives bought everything under 357 mag the first week of the craziness. We have a few 9mms but they are large frame guns except for the lone M-43 Glock.
