sports. Sports are not necessary, fun yes, money making yes but they do not make life better, save lives, or in general help make us a better country-- movie folks same way. IT IS A SPORT that is all--- the shame is WE put them there

Until our public school teachers who add real value to society are paid based on performance the whole country's value system and pay structure for athletes and celebrities is terribly screwed up. Does anyone really care about political statements form pro sports players or wealth worthless celebrities ?

Amen.

We have some very intense sport fans where I work. One explained how sports where necessary to the people. It seams if people didn’t have entertainment they would go crazy with boredom and rape and riot. Well I don’t watch sports. Except one a year my wife watches LSU play against Alabama football. She went to LSU.

I hardly watch any television at all. I wake up and go to my job. When I get off I have home and animal duties to attend to. When that is done and after a shower and dinner if I am not ready for bed I reader just sit in the yard with my wife and enjoy the stars and nightlife.

Haven’t had time to be bored in a long while. And I have been married for 26 years. In that time we have been to 4 movies. I am quite certain that had we not gone to those we would have survived. And I am also certain I will never go to another. We don’t need any of it.

61+ YEARS HERE. WE HAVE NEVER

sports are necessary, it just means that they don't have the balls to stand up for what is right and they will give in and watch the games anyway.

change my life, make it better, or worse. But the athletes have a worldwide platform on which to stand and make a point, good, bad or indifferent. It is up to each of us to decide if we want to listen to what they have to say or not.

ATHLETES AND ENTERTAINERS CONTRIBUTE NOTHING. THE ONLY SPORTS FOR ME WHERE WHEN MY GRANDKIDS WERE PLAYING IN SCHOOL. I WONDER HOW MANY BASKETBALL,BASEBALL,FOOTBALL,SOCCER,VOLLEYBALL,RUGBY GAMES I SAW.
