A funny story from hurricane Andrew.

When my wife and I first started dating was the year that hurricane Andrew hit south Louisiana. Her hometown is in south Louisiana and it was all over the news with major network weather people doing their news casts from there.

She was at my home in the northern part of the state and we were watching the news when they interviewed the mayor. He said in his thick Cajun tone “At this time I must inform you that I have to EVAPORATE the city”
I thought that those measures were a little drastic. I mean come on the storm had not even hit yet. Maybe he should just tell everybody to leave and find shelter farther north.
She want amused by my amusement. It seems he was a family friend. Oh well.

God bless all who are suffering from this storm.
