The 20th amendment is not really clear on the line succession nor is the 25th. Article II also talks about succession of the Vice President. The 25th says the majority of the Executive branch can throw out a President under the circumstance of incapacity of the President but I have read my copy of the Constitution multiple times and can NOT find where the Speaker of the House is third in line for the Presidency. Perhaps the lines of succession were set by a separate law? I don't think that can be done without an Amendment. One of the lawyers on here, would you please shed light on this? Thanks
