He made a die that swaged the base of the cartridge so that he ended up with a semi-rimmed .44 Short.

I look forward to meeting your earthly father one day!

using aluminum cases. DON'T! There I was with a $2000 revolver with an aluminum case stuck half-way in the barrel, nowhere to turn. It would not even press out with a strong hydraulic press. I was fearful of tearing something up for sure.

In a blind leap of faith I finally shot it out with a blank, remotely! I prayed a bunch before that too.

LOL

How many fingers do you have! Hahahaha

Momma didn't raise but only one dummy, and it wasn't me.

That again. Jim told me he remembered Winchester Silvertip allot jacketed slugs had a special lube groove like a cast bullet! I tried the case dry, must have galled or something. Bore is clean and fine. Thank the Lord above, Glory to God alone!

I DID THIS FOR THE.44 BULLDOG

I used a .300 Savage body die (couldn’t find the .250 die) to get a taper, then a .44 Special sizer/seater. Just an old Remington 240 gr. JHP I had laying on the bench. I did the .400 Corbon I necked up to .44 in the middle. The .400 Corbon is far left with an ancient Lyman 170 gr. SWCHP cast.

The taper case is what I wanted to see, very pleasing like a big 9mm Luger. The Corbon approach is likely more reasonable not to confuse with the .45 ACP at a glance. I just wanted to see a .45 ACP necked to hold a .44 revolver bullet.
