It is a Lipseys special and if simply the original Glock M-17. No finger grooves in the grip, no forward serrations on the slide, no light bar under the front of the frame. In other words, it is exactly like the original Glock 17. The gun was originally given the name P-80 before going to the Glock 17 name. The folks at Lipseys figured the Glock had been out for 22 years and it was time for a retro version. Sounds good but with all the younger shooters demanding all the fancy new gimmicks, I am not sure this gun will find a place in the younger crowd's hearts. Retro is good if the item has been out long enough for there to be a demand by the older shooters for a gun 'Like they grew up with".

I have been know to be wrong in the past and the not so distance past too. But I am not sure there is a place for the P-80. I hope so as the Glock deserves a special place as they were what probably 75% of our current guns copy these days. I guess we shall find out.

Atlanta. It was a 3 day course then and it was strictly for dealers then. They showed us the Glock 18, full auto 380, and a few other special guns that were not slated to be brought into the U.S.. But I don't remember seeing any of those sights. They were trying to impress dealers to carry the guns so they had probably changed the sight by then. Shortly after that Kase and Colleen also took the armorers school. It was a day and a half by then.

I don't know; I'm not a Glock Guy and I want one of these.
