Is it me or is the .429 De a copy of the .440 Corbon?

due to pressures being so high. I ordered an Auto Mag 5 in the 440 Corbon and when it never came I called and asked why. They were the ones that told me of all the problems. Unless they beef up the Desert Eagle it may go down the same road.
I'd read the 429 will operate at lower pressures...

Than the 440 did. But, I think the damage is done. Seriously doubt it's survival. Like all cartridges, time will tell.
it is sort of a damned if you do and damned if you don't. If

they leave the round as it, lots of bad things can happen.
That DE can manage rifle pressures fine. Not short mag.

The .429 DE is a great idea for actual shooters. The machismo of the "big .50" is the only reason some own them. They can't hit their butt with both hands. The .500" projectiles are limited and expensive. .44's are varied and usually generally available in some form. I have some .440 empties (I actually got from GNR), they look good. I just can't see Roman springing some $600 for the adapter kit for his DE. He likes the machismo factor at his age.
