To find a local source for lead to start casting. I was gifted a Lee furnace and some molds a while back. All the tire shops have committed to other buyers.

Several vendors sell & ship on Castboolits.com forum. Already smelted ready to mix and cast, and priced comparably to finding hauling and smelting yourself. Keep a look out on local craigslist and armslist as well. Local plumbers and roofers are a good source of pure lead.

Grover try some of the junk yards that recycle now days sometimes they will have 25lb and 50lb lead ingots for sale cheap. I am lucky my company
buys a lot of tires at the local tire shop they have give me a lot of used tire weights.
