modern version of the Goerg shoulder holster is literally the very best kit available. Not only that but it will handle both single action and double actions from 9-1/2" to 5-1/2" on the same single holster. The actual spring is about as wide as a cylinder or 2". It is circular in shape, not flat or U-shaped like the Bianchi. As long as it grips that cylinder over it's 3.5" span in either direction (longer or shorter barrel) the gun is secure, plus it has a safety strap too.

It is light (notably lighter than that too tight Bianchi) and easier to draw and return. I wear mine almost continually at the HHC gatherings. You don't really have to have it tethered to a belt either as is necessary to draw with the Bianchi. I cannot find fault with the Goerg rig. Gary made it from superior quality materials and simply copied what Al Goerg refined through actual use in the field.

You sure need to take a look if given the rare chance to obtain one.

I have the cheap Uncle Mike's Bandelero type that I like too. But unless the safety strap us used the gun can fall out when you bend over. For the money they are good. Noisy in the woods too compared to leather, the nylon. But worth a look.

Also I won a raffle for a free holster from a top maker. I forget his name now. He donated the raffle prize. It was for any model, the base price. That itself was over $225 being a custom leather holster. It sort of copied the Uncle Mike's but for materials. Feeling bad to cherry pick I added elk suede lining and a waxed weather proofing he offered as priced options. I think it cost me $127 to get the "free" holster with my added options. A $350 holster! It is very well made. The waxy coating is gooey and the bandoleer type mounting chaffs my neck walking. Long story short, money doe not necessarily translate into functionality.
