when the planes hit. I was on the 16th floor and was just starting to deliver a training course. What I lived through that day and what I had to do to get out of Manhattan and back to Eastern CT that night will be with me forever. Everyone around me was a patriot that day.

I was drinking hot black coffee watching Fox News contemplating going fishing. I was glued to the t.v. for two days. On the second day the base called me and asked if I wanted to come back. I politely said no thank you. I had the option the fellas the day after I signed my papers were not so lucky. After 23 years I had enough, not even the promotion stirred me.

...associate was lost that day when the planes hit. I will never forget. Or forgive.

I was on a commute to Andover, Mass and noticed what looked like a great fire in the distance> I was listening to an audio book at the time, so no news. When I gt to work I was told about the attack. God bless all of our people. I still can not watch those plane on their routs of destruction.

I remember asking him if he needed to do anything. He said “no, I’m sure everyone is watching the news. I then asked what was the tallest building in town. He relied “ your in it”. (2nd floor of courthouse)
