The good Lord recently blessed me with the opportunity to hunt Black Bear in the state of Maine. Not a bruiser, but an adult male weighing about 150 lbs.

The shot was 35 yards hunting over bait consisting of chocolate cover pretzels and cake frosting. This is what my setup from the stand looked like.

I used my Reeder Classic Hunter in 45LC with a 250 grain Hornady XTP traveling just under 1400 fps. Burris Fastfire III red dot.
