in the mid 70's for a couple of seasons, B-17 and C-119. The company wanted me to get some ag flying experience in preparation to transition into the left seat. Started flying ag and never went back.
I did fly a couple seasons in Australia in a SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker). Saw a lot of The state of Victory and some of New South Wales. Fought fire in the range of mountains where The Man from Snowy River was supposed to have been filmed.
I thought after 20+ years the bad taste of contracting to the government would have gone away...nope. Loved Australia though.
