my main "go to" pistol has been the 9" 41 GNR

for many years. I built it in 1979. It has taken more animals than I can count. It was originally on the Contender frame but recently I switched it to my new G-2 frame.

But another of my favorites is my one of a kind Master Hunter based on the S&W model 629, fully customized. It is chambered in 410 GNR and is one of my most accurate revolvers. It has the Dan Wesson type barrel and shroud with the brake in front acting as the shroud nut holding the barrel to a .002 gap. We built a new 41 caliber barrel and 5 shot cylinder in 410 GNR for the conversion.

Another favorite is one of my Ultimate 41s that I took my first African buffalo with, the Savannah buffalo. It was the prototype revolver in 410 GNR. It dropped the buffalo in one shot to the point of shoulder, blowing up both lungs in the process.

My 41 GNR#2 in one of my stretch frames hasn't seen as much action as some of the others but I did take a Nilgai at the Celebrity Handgun Hunt with it years ago.

I have yet to take anything with my 411 GNR, but maybe this coming HHC. In the pic, 411 GNR on the left, 410 GNR on the right.

All in all the 41 Caliber has been a big part of what I do for over 30 years.
