I inquired about a 7mm GNR a while back, and now I have come across these barrels. I am interested in whitetail handgun hunting. I have read what I was able to find on the website but would like to know if anyone has experience with the these calibers.![[image]](images/uploaded/202009211942595f690243cb791.jpg)
Yes...Took a 356 GNR to Africa in 2018...

Very capable calibers. I took a very large Impala at 122 yards pushing the 180 grn XTP in front of H110.
No accounting to the big critters taken with the 41 GNR. I'm sure many pictures will follow my post.
I've taken numerous hogs and a bison with the 41GNR

.. But I took an nice 6 point yesterday with , my 7mm GNR. About 170 lbs. One shot just in front of the shoulder.
I have a 12" and a 10" barrel The 10 " is a rechambered 7TCU that I took a lot of deer with before.
the 41 GNR is our most popular caliber and the 7 GNR

is in the top 5 or 6. I have taken probably a dozen big animals (Bison size) with the 41 GNR in a 9" G-2 barrel, all but one with one shot each.
This is nice to know. I have an SSK

fluted barrel marked as a 15.25" 221 Fireball but the lug has 222 REM stamped on it that is absolutely useless for me. I may follow up to see if you can convert it to a 41 gnr.
if the barrel bore is 22 caliber I can't run it out to

anything over 22 caliber. Rechambering a barrel or gun is just rechambering the actual chamber. The rest of the barrel stays whatever it was, so you can't run a 41 caliber bullet down a 22 caliber barrel.
I saw some GNR loading dies

in the die collection I inherited. I haven't looked over the whole site well yet, but I will find time to research what it will take to get 1 or 2 up and running.
