No matter, the spark was lit. I was speculating

about the chambering difficulty your reloaded bullets were having. It must have been the ojive, curve of the bullet nose hitting the rifling prematurely. The factory ammo was just a teeny bit faster curving and must have cleared it. The polygonal is a bigger hole and seems to be OK with mine, so far. I think my bullets were the old Lyman 452374 225 gr. RN.

It's just something to play with and make use while I have them. It's getting pretty difficult to get any good handgun right now. Would be easy to make a profit too.

I have a couple really nice Italian made Nowland 1911 magazines that did NOT work. The old Govt. issue types seem to work fine. Still not sure what makes the slide hold open but I may look into that and see if it can be modified a little. Did the "Officer" magazine fit about flush? The PM45 is a little different than the CW you had, maybe just the shape of the slide.
