I was at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham the last two days for tests and appointments. The governer has had an indoor mask requirement for a while now but I noticed all the medical staff were wearing them even when outside walking on the streets or going from building to building. I asked my cardiovascular surgeon about it and he said they've had cases of covid that were contracted, more likely than not, by outdoor exposure. I will be glad when they have a vaccine and working meds.

They have me scheduled for surgery on the 15th of October and I've been told to isolate at home until then and have to go up the day before surgery for their lab to run a covid test on me. They did one Tuesday before my procedure yesterday. They wkn't do any invasive procedure without a negative covid test on a patient within 48 hours before the procedure!
