I took my new Ruger 22 LCR out to shoot today for the first time. After the first three shots I was going to adjust the windage and discovered the rear sight blade was loose in the sight base and would move from left to right simply by tilting the revolver The windage spring (maybe not correct terminology) was completely missing! I contacted Ruger customer service and explained the situation and the fact that I preferred they send me a spring for the rear blade to install myself instead of me having to ship the revolver to them. Here's their response:

"Unfortunately, this is a factory fitted item and can't be sold to anyone; it needs to be installed by our technicians at the factory. Please contact us at 336-949-5200 to have an RMA number issued, have your serial number handy when calling."

Ruger Customer Service
