A Winchester 1892 with a story...

I'd posted some weeks back that my gun shop had located me a Winchester/Miroku 1892 in 44-40 WCF. It has been no easy task finding the model I wanted. But, find it they did.

Then the problems started. Before I got to the gun shop to pick it up, the worst hurricane to ever hit the state totalled my LGS.

My guns were not damaged where most were. They were in a well protected place.

Then the insurance company got involved, so I could not take delivery on the guns. The second being a Ruger #1A Limited 275 Rigby.

So, for 31 long days I waited. My LGS Manager and Owner finally got a release on these two hard to get guns.

I was able to pick them up this morning.

The guns are commemorated with destruction and drama forever. But, I'll enjoy them in time.

I escaped damage from the storm and finally got the guns. Feeling pretty good except for some survivor's guilt. So many are homeless here and their future is uncertain.

Your living right Huey!

We had a tropical storm hit here a month or so ago. A huge oak snapped at the base and flattened my daughters house. Actually knocked the house off it foundation. She was in the house when it happened , luckily she was at the other end of the house. Insurance has her living in a double wide in her driveway. Probably be in the trailer close to a year as the insurance co. , adjuster and contractor come to terms. We are all carrying on.
