Memories
Going through some of my pictures from "the old days" I came across these ... brought back some great memories.

Back about 1985 .. Oracle, AZ ... my daughter and I were on a scouting ride before deer season. We left early in the morning and got back just before dark. In this picture we had come upon a small spring and let the horses drink. We took off their gear and let them roll a bit to work the kinks out. Then we had lunch and let horse nibble on whatever they could find.

Near Oracle, AZ .. packing out one of the better Mule deer that I took. A couple friends were riding by and helped me load him. A couple hours later me and the horse with the deer on its back had one heck of wreck. I wrote it up in the story THE MULIE, THE WINCHESTER AND THE WRECK.

My favorite ... Shay's Gal .. She was 23 months old in this photo and I was still training her. She made a great mountain horse and became a good companion.
I miss those days and am grateful to have the memories.
