They were pining for a Single-seven “Hunter” model with 7.5” barrel. Sounds fun. Go ahead and make mine a Bisley while you are swinging that magic wand. I wonder if Ruger will ever think about it? What would the custom scene produce? T really like the scope mounting position on the Hunters. I guess a Weaver type base mounted as low as possible might substitute, but a lot of trouble. Just pipe dreaming.

I think it's a great idea to have a .327 hunter Bisley.

Make mine a 5.5".

I've often wondered why they haven't made a .480 bisley hunter?

It's their cartridge mise well offer it in a bunch of configurations.

It does Scotty...not hunter rib ...but 7.5”

had seemed to need more weight up front to balance it out. Perfect for packing though. I'll probably have a Bisley Single Seven at some point. 327 is a very flexible round...

327 is too small

I used a 357 mag for hunting pigs and deer for several years. Always with the 158 gr. XTP and was blown away at just how poorly it preformed. It was not until I tried the 180 gr. that I found out what the 357 would do. I would think the 327 would need very heavy and tuff bullets for hunting anything bigger than varmints. Jump up to a 41 or 44 mag if you want a big game round for sure kills. Use the sub calibers for small game and varmints. Just wanted to express my opinion.

I'm lobbying Lipsey's for that and a 454 Casull #1 Rifle...

The 327 Federal is a great cartridge. We have a definite void in small game cartridges.
