While this is sorta funny ... but mostly true ... I am thinking "Who wants to die looking good?" All those "skid marks" and wrinkles and scars and stretch marks should be signs of having lived life to the full, enjoying the good parts, enduring the bad ones, and making do with what you are handed. What a sad thing it would be to die never having experienced life!

Old age can also be merciful—the additional time to do what you want to do, the clearer recognition of things that matter most, and the freedom to express what you really think without worrying about other opinions are some of the best outcroppings of aging.

Old age need not be dreaded or dreadful. In my mind, it definitely beats the alternative of dying young.
