Cast or??? Thank you.

I never use cast in the 10mm (just a personal thing)

but in the jacketed test ammo I use 13 grains of AA#9 and a 180 FMJ. Accurate Arms max load is 13.6 so I stay at 13 which works very well in our custom semi autos.

Thank you Gary

I’ve shot cast gas checked from the G20

But it was with a suitable tighter chambered aftermarket barrel also with conventional rifling. Stock the G20 has very loose chamber specs and larger polygonal rifling. Perhaps the gas check would make things work correctly. Longshot is a fantastic powder as is AA#7. The 200 gr. will run 1400 fps and the 230 gr. 1200 easily. Being cast and slippery I see an easy 100 fps over jacketed. My barrel is 6”.

Kase Reeder helped me with some foundational loads he used, mostly jacketed. I think Kase like his Dad likes liter bullets at blinding speeds. It sure seems to work for them.

Shoot me an email at yahoo, waterboyark tomorrow and I’ll give you the recipe I worked up to in my gun. My Glock feeds everything but I’ve read and had some limited experience with 10mm 1911 platforms being rather finicky.

*Actually my gun is a Gen IV G21 that I simply dropped a G20 barrel into and use 10mm magazines.
