Hello Alcorn,

I see at the last HHC you used a LAR Grizzly. What bullet did you use, what was the velocity, and how did it perform?

Thank You!
Mark

I also have an interest on that same question. Pete

Of course it was 45 win mag. I think they made a few in other calibers. Bullet was Lyman 454190 sized .450 and lubed with Lyman/ideal lube. 24.0 gr H-110 with CCILPM primer gives 1400 fps. Results were excellent, fist shot was good, but Large fallow deer started to depart. I made a Texas heart shot and broke right pelvis, that bullet was recovered. 2 finishers and it was over.

Thank You

For the 45Win mag 260 gr Nosler partition 25 gr W296 and a mag primer. I use CCI 350. I have taken 4 hogs with the LAR Grizzly. It’s a hammer, great little corn field gun! If I remember right they run right at 1400fps

Thank You!

I have 250gr Noslers. Did they stop making the 260gr Partion?

YES

The 260 Part. is a much better bullet than the 250. I am going to try to develop a load with 265gr. Swift.

Great

I be anxious to hear how it works for you!

That was the exact load I used for years.
