Reeder Custom Guns - I'm following Gary's advice

A while back he suggested that the best days to hunt are on a full moon mid morning to mid afternoon.

Well. That is on the agenda today. I woke to 19 F and 7 inches of snow. I did take the afternoon off Friday and did some walking around just after the snow ended.

No tracks other than a set of mink in the rocky swamp I was hunting in.

So in a few minutes I will head out bow in hand and see what I can do following Gary's advice.

fed all night and bed down at daylight. They stay bedded down up until about early afternoon. At that time they get up feed a bit and go to water and bed down again until after dark when they get out and feed again in the full moon's light. On a full moon I don't even hunt early in the morning. I find where the deer or elk water and sit down in some heavy brush overlooking the water hole. Invariably the animals come to water between noon and 2 and bed down again. This method has worked for me for at least 35 years or more and I don't remember a year when I didn't get at least one deer using this method.
