Turns out, I'll make more in doing nothin in retirement than returning to teaching : ). May do some part-time teaching and get back to some shooting. Also, taking Bree to many MTB races as she has got quite the passion, and is still in high school. She wants to go on her first hunt too!

Enjoy!!!

Sept 30 was my last day of work, October 1st my first day of retirement. It's a great thing. Enjoy it you deserve it. For me odds and ends around the house, shooting, and trying to burn up the rubber on 3 motorcycle's, a bit of 4x4 off roading. So far so good.

I have been working for 58 years and see no reason

to stop now. Retirement scares hell out of me. I retires from radio after 22 years and got into gun building full time. That was in 1985. That was almost 36 years ago. There is only so much reloading, shooting and hunting I can do before I get burned out on them and I don't want to do that. Plus they say the average man lives about a year after retiring. I think I will keep working.

I retired in 2010 and went to Africa for a vacation.

Ended up working harder and loving it more than when I was pastoring, writing, raising kids, cows, goats and horses.

Now days of social distancing and quarantine I have to find old beat up guns to work on so I don't drive the family crazy.

Sort of.

:)

GOTTCHA BEAT. Been working for 66 years.

retired completely at 62, now 69. Love every minute of it. The first 5 yyears volunteered at an animal shelter in Green Valley Az. Best job I ever had. Worked at it but love the dogs. Did get bit a few times and scared once. Only life long goal I ever had was to not work, I'm there and love it!

Congrats Sir, it has been a long and at times, difficult at best. You have inspired many in the courses that you taught and most importantly you always put your students first.

Well done, my hat is off to you!
